متن کاملProton and Fluorine Spin - Lattice Relaxation in
The spin-lattice relaxation times F, ('H) and 7, (l9F) in CoSiF6 • 6H-.0 have been measured at 30 MHz in the tem perature range 150K^F^400 K Both F,('H) and r, (l9F) decrease sharply at the phase transition tempera ture of 246 K (cooling cycle). The main relaxation mecha nism is assumed to be an Orbach process. From the 7", data an average splitting of the Co2+ ground state of about 400 cm"1...
متن کاملMethyl and t-butyl group rotation in a molecular solid: (1)H NMR spin-lattice relaxation and X-ray diffraction.
We report solid state (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance spin-lattice relaxation experiments and X-ray diffractometry in 2-t-butyldimethylsilyloxy-6-bromonaphthalene. This compound offers an opportunity to simultaneously investigate, and differentiate between, the rotations of a t-butyl group [C(CH3)3] and its three constituent methyl groups (CH3) and, simultaneously, a pair of 'lone' methyl group...
متن کاملProton Dipolar Spin–Lattice Relaxation in Nano-channels of Natrolite
The 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra and the dipolar spin-lattice relaxation time T1D for 1H in the natural natrolite (Na2Al2Si3O10·2H2O) have been measured in the temperature range of 190-390 K. From the temperature transformations of 1H NMR spectra, it follows that at T > 300 K, the diffusion of water molecules along the nano-channels is observed. From experimental T1D data, it fol...
متن کاملSpin-lattice Relaxation of Reorienting or Tunneling Deuterated Methyl Groups
Tae spin-lattice relaxation of deuterated methyl groups, which is exponential at high temperatures, becomes non-exponential at low temperatures as evidence of the coupling between the Zeeman and tunneling systems. The dominant relaxation is considered to be the quadrupole interaction. Experimental results at liquid nitrogen and liquid helium temperatures support the theoretical model.
